Believe this quote by the Turkish writer "Mehmet Murat Íldan" fits perfectly to be the beginning of this short introduction of myself, and the story of my creation, my metaphorical child,DAR JAMAI.
My Story
I was formerly active in the field of Sales for over a decade while the love of fashion has been a never ending fire burning inside my heart.
Fashion comes from the power of creativity. It’s rooted in a magical creative process which begins in the limitless world of our imagination all the way to becoming a real physical object.
At some point while I was on my journey, going forward on this mesmerizing road which we call life, I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease.
A chronic inflammatory bowel disease that affects the lining of the digestive tract. This diagnosis had a very large impact on my life. When I was slowly accepting that I have to live with this disease, life had another surprise for me. 4 years ago, I was diagnosed with a second chronic disease called fibromyalgia which causes widespread muscle pain and tenderness.
The combination of both illnesses meant spending the majority of my time inside my home and getting used to the walls around me, just like a prisoner would be forced to get used to the prison cell.
While in this darkness, the love of fashion combined with the interest of creation, suddenly became the light I was desperately seeking. The idea of creating DAR JAMAI and perfumes, sparked a beautiful fire of motivation in me and slowly consumed my thoughts.
I decided to simply, create!
My creation brought joy and happiness to me and put a never ending smile on my face. They made me stronger and more tolerant to my physical pain. They manifested hope and goals. They are not just some fancy creations They are the force behind my movement and the lifeblood of a new bright beginning in the heart of my darkness.
My Message
Today, the love I have for Yoga being a certification of H 200 of yoga along with DAR JAMAI and my perfumes, are all the pillars of my life. At this important moment in my life where I have finished what once was a dream, with the release of my products, I want to reach out to every women out there and on top of recommending Yoga to them with it’s beneficial spiritual and physical aspects, I want them to also know that I put my heart into my products.
This light will only keep on shining if you put it on your skin and let it’s scent fill the air around you.
